Welcome to International Virtual Conference on Composite Materials (ICCM - 2021)

DUE TO ADMINISTRATIVE REASONS THE CONFERENCE IS POSTPONED TO 29-30, APRIL 2021

The Organizing Committee of ICCM 2021 invites you to participate in the International Conference on Composite Materials to be held during 25-26, February 2021 at PSN College of Engineering and Technology, Melathediyoor, Tirunelveli, India. This conference is jointly organized by the departments of Mechanical, Mechanical & Automation, Aeronautical Engineering and Centre for Scientific and Applied Research (C-SAR)

About the Conference

Composite materials have attracted more attention in scientific and engineering fields due to the ever increasing demand on materials with improved operating capabilities in many advanced technologies. This has led to a rapid growth of R&D initiatives on development of new and novel materials globally. Laboratories the world over have identified development of materials with improved functional efficiency to meet the growing challenges in several applications such as energy, healthcare, defence, space, consumer electronics etc, as a major thrust area. Therefore, it is necessary for the scientific community to update the latest developments by way of interaction and sharing of knowledge with scientists, academicians, students and researchers working in this area. The conference is aimed at bringing together the scientific and technical community to share their knowledge-base on recent trends in processing, characterization and application of composite materials. Eminent persons in their respective fields would share their experience and knowledge with young researchers and research scholars, which in turn would promote research impetus in these materials. The conference will be extremely useful in the sense that it will be attended by scientists and engineers making it truly interdisciplinary. The conference will cover all aspects relating to the material processing/preparation, characterization techniques and application areas. It is aimed to provide the participants a complete knowledge in the areas to be covered by the proposed conference and make them instrumental in pursuing quality research.

About the Institute

PSN College of Engineering and Technology (PSNCET) was established by PSN Educational and Charitable Trust, Nagercoil in 2001. Dr. P. Suyambu, the Managing Trustee of the Trust and Founder-Chairman, PSN Institutions, started his career as a Scientist in the world renowned Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai and walked through various technical fields for more than three decades. With his experience in the field of research and academics and the support of munificent trustees with noble and charitable blend of mind, the college was established in 2001. With an aim in pioneering in recent research areas in science and technology, active research was initiated in 2010.Five departments of the college are recognized as research centres by Anna University, Chennai. The faculty of research centres have mobilized research grants to a tune of Rs. 4.50 crores from National funding agencies like DST, SERB, DAE-BRNS, AICTE. The college has well established state-of-the-art research facilities in the area energy materials, composites, heat transfer, plasma technology etc. The College was Nationally Assessed and Accredited National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC), Bangalore and recognized by UGC under Section 2(f) and 12(b) of UGC Act 1956. The college is an autonomous institution and an affiliate of Anna University, Chennai.
